Garmin launched Approach S10 GPS golf watch, according to a report published on April 26, 2018.
A new entry-level golf watch has been added to the growing number of wearables by Garmin. The Approach S10 GPS has a 1.3-inch sunlight readable and non-touchscreen display and comes pre-loaded with course maps for over 41,000 courses around the world.
Based on the GPS location, the watch automatically selects the course the player is on and further, it can display the distances to the front, back, and middle of the green for each hole. The watch has can also show how far they are from hazards or obstacles such as bodies of water and dogleg or crooked holes. When golfers enter their scores, they will be able to see the total distance they traveled and the time taken by them to finish each game along with their scores.
The S10 watch does not get damaged on exposure to shower or by a dip in a pool and it can last for 12 hours in between charges. However, unlike its US$ 200 predecessor, the S20, this new watch does not have the ability to get and display smart notifications for calls, emails, and text messages. If that does not matter in the slightest to the customers, the Approach S10 GPS golf watch will be available in the market sometime in the second quarter of 2018 and will be available for US$ 150.
